Occupational Angel, An Imperfect Music Video

Today I thought I'd try film something with a very particular concept in mind, Imperfection.

What I wanted to do was shoot in black and white without having to use a black and white effect. The video is actually in colour, it just looks black and white. The theme of shooting is that of an old film camera that finds it hard to capture light or stay in focus. When editing, I tried to cut the footage really roughly so that it looks more true to the overall concept. To do this, I chose not to add any effect or filters so it's all raw fooatge.

So when your watching it, pretend it was made years ago!

Also, these album covers for Godspeed you! Black Emporer and Bon Iver really added to the idea.


















It's nothing serious, just an experiment which you are more than welcome to take a look at. It's a fairly compressed file, so please forgive the pixelation! Feedback would be highly appreciated.
